Spikenard of Mary Anointing Oil 7.5 ml. - 1/4 oz.

SPIKENARD Also called nard, nardin, and muskroot. Can be crushed and distilled into an intensely aromatic amber-colored essential oil, which is very thick in consistency. Nard oil is used as a perfume, an incense, a sedative, and as herbal medicine said to fight insomnia, birth difficulties, and other minor ailments.

Nard is mentioned a number of times in the Old Testament. It is mentioned in the biblical love poem, the Song of Solomon (1:12 and 4:13).
